Lickety-Ways To Play Every Day!
The great thing about the Summer Holidays is you can PLAY EVERY DAY!
We hope all of our Children & Families Network families can enjoy playing the Licketyspit Playcard games this Summer holiday – indoors and outdoors, come rain or shine! You can play them with two people or with 20 people! Teaching the games to new friends or people you might not usually think to play with is really fun because actually everyone loves playing once they start. The thing is to persuade people to try! (And as CHILDREN are the PLAY EXPERTS OF THE WORLD you will be very good at that!)
Every Monday all holiday we will remind you of a game or two and invite you to tell us what you’ve been doing the week before! Rita also has lots of other play ideas so remember to keep checking the BLOG BELOW each week to see what’s new!
With these games, no one needs to worry about ever feeling left out –
- there are no winners or losers,
- everyone takes turns and
- we always start and finish in a circle – why?
- Because you can see everyone, and everyone can see you and
- games are BEST when everyone is in the game! Woo Hoo!
We recommend you start every day with The Funky Chicken! – what’s not to like?!!!! Please can you send us some little video clips or photos or drawings of you doing the Funky Chickens to share on the website OR send tell us about some of the characters you have invented for the game yourselves?
We’d love to have a whole gallery of your invented characters for the Funky Chicken game and THEN everyone can try them out at home!
Here are a few examples to get you in the mood:
Do you know…
the Shy Sheep? the Roaring Panda?
the Slippery Snake? the Creepy Spider?
the Black Dinosaur? the Cheeky Cheetah?
the Nosy Elephant? or the Dancing Unicorn?
